About Us

On West 50th Street, just steps from the bustle of Times Square, The Theater Center houses one of New York City's most beloved small-stage experiences. The Jerry Orbach Theater seats a tight, enthusiastic crowd, close enough to catch every expression, every improvised aside, every note belted from the front row. With a 4.1-star rating across more than 600 reviews, this venue has earned its reputation one standing ovation at a time.

The programming leans into the shows audiences already love. Friends The Musical Parody and the Office Musical Parody have become signature runs here, drawing fans who know every episode by heart and leave the theater quoting new jokes they never saw coming. The intimacy of the space is the point: no nosebleed seats, no distant stage, just performers and audience sharing the same electric room.

Casual, warm, and completely unpretentious, this is the kind of theater that reminds you why live performance exists. You don't need a tuxedo or a $200 ticket. You need a Friday night and a sense of humor.

What We Offer

The Theater Center hosts a rotating calendar of live theatrical productions, with a focus on musical parodies and comedic stage shows that pull directly from pop culture. Current and recurring productions include Friends The Musical Parody and The Office Musical Parody, two crowd-driven shows that blend sharp writing, live music, and audience participation into something far more memorable than a Netflix rewatch.

Beyond its signature parody runs, the venue is available for private event bookings and special performances, making it a distinctive Midtown Manhattan option for corporate events, group outings, and celebrations. The Jerry Orbach Theater's compact layout makes it ideal for groups who want every seat to feel like a premium seat.

Tickets are available online through the official site, with options for individual seats and group reservations. Shows run throughout the week with weekend evening performances drawing the largest crowds. Check the current schedule for upcoming productions and availability.

Why Choose Us

The Jerry Orbach Theater puts every seat within 10 rows of the stage, so no one misses a moment.
Over 648 audience reviews average 4.1 stars, with fans returning for multiple shows in the same run.
Signature parody productions of Friends and The Office sell out regularly, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
Located at 210 W 50th St, the venue is a short walk from the N, Q, R, and 1 subway lines.
Casual atmosphere means no dress code, no pretense, just great live performance at an accessible price point.
Intimate venue capacity creates an electric shared energy that larger Broadway houses simply cannot replicate.

"If you’re a fan of The Office, this musical parody at The Theater Center – The Jerry Orbach Theater is an absolute treat. From the moment the lights came up, the energy was infectious. The cast captured the quirks and charm of the beloved characters with spot‑on comedic timing, while adding their own musical flair that kept the audience laughing nonstop. • Hilarious & Clever: The show brilliantly pokes fun at iconic moments from the series, weaving them into witty songs and over‑the‑top performances. • High Energy: Every scene bursts with enthusiasm, making it impossible not to smile (or sing along in your head). • For Fans & Newcomers Alike: Whether you’ve watched The Office a hundred times or only know the basics, the parody is accessible, entertaining, and packed with references that fans will adore. By the end, the audience was buzzing with laughter and applause. It’s more than just a parody—it’s a love letter to the show, delivered with heart, humor, and a lot of catchy tunes. Highly recommend!!!"

"No frills, casual, intimate experience. Came for Friends The Musical Parody on a Friday night and enjoyed it all - from the performance, to the theater. The Jerry Orbach Theater is small and the seats aren't the most comfortable or up to date but there isn't a "bad" seat in the house. It wasn't full and we were able to spread out and have space between us and other people. Plenty of snacks available for purchase, soda, beer, all reasonably priced and the cocktails matched the theme of the show, which was a nice touch. The performance itself was hilarious and I wouldn't say I'm a huge Friends fan. The cast did such a great job and I loved the interpretation of each character. Fun way to spend the night I definitely recommend!"

"We loved watching the Friends Musical Parody at this theater. The prices were great, and the theater was small and intimate. Not a bad seat in the house. The actors did fantastic. The lobby had a bar that served drinks before and during intermission. Yummy drinks for sure and all themed for the show they are performing. Fantastic Off Broadway Theater experience."
